No, I haven't found the EGR thermostat. Where is it? The manual shows it at the top of the radiator but I can't see it. I'll check I have the correct manual!

Here it is, just remove top front engine cover by the radiator and all will be revealed:

When I had the egr thermostat issue on my bm it ran up to temp ok on the motorway but dropped down to just above the first line on the stat when running in stop, start traffic or plodding around the back roads.
