well i've just replaced my old landrover/varta battery with a nice new 020 bosch from europarts, cost £117.44..
even with the bonnet in service mode it was still a bit of a pig to get the thing out of the well..all done and the FFRR feels like its running better, maybe more current is going into the numerous ECU's making them more efficient.. ... - .- -.

Do you have the part number please?

Think the battery on the TD6 has just given up the goast.

Had to use the boost starter twice this week and when leaving the shoot today no power at all Big Cry

Cheers Stan

Would you believe it after 23 boost starts, last 1 not even enough power to move the steering wheel, 1 night of frost and she's 100%

Rolling Eyes

Might get 1 anyway as there is a europarts a couple of miles away, stick the new 1 on the TDV8 and taht 1 on the TD6.

TD6 will be parked up for a week now, so will see when we get back.

There was I thinking smug, FBH working fine, battery only 2 years old Shocked , cold weather, no problem. WRONG Crying or Very sad

Got back to the car after walking the dog, not enough juice to turn it over. Switched everything off I could find, still no joy.

Had to get a jump start from another dog walker Embarassed

Got home and checked the forum and have ordered a Bosch S5 for £120 delivered. Should arrive today Smile

I'm reading lots about flat batteries on RRs and the owners are replacing the battery but still having flat battery problems. It might be worth having the electrics checked out for excessive drainage before replacing the battery.

Stocky, don't forget to put your bonnet in access mode otherwise its an absolute pain to change the battery with loads of skinned knuckels, bad back and pain...

just a point dave, if you get the battery mail order and it goes pants then you might have a problem getting it back to them, buy it from europarts [if theres one near you] and you can take it back ... ... - .- -.
