well i've just replaced my old landrover/varta battery with a nice new 020 bosch from europarts, cost £117.44..

its a type 020 bosch nigel with 110 amphrs and a 920 crank ...europarts is the cheapest and best place to get one... ... - .- -.

now's the time when batteries start failing so it make sense to get a new one if you've had non-starts..good idea re putting the new one on the newer car .. ... - .- -.

agreed stocky, the td6 is a big lump and there are loads of electrics on it..i'm glad i got mine when i did .. ... - .- -.

I'm reading lots about flat batteries on RRs and the owners are replacing the battery but still having flat battery problems. It might be worth having the electrics checked out for excessive drainage before replacing the battery. |

Stocky, don't forget to put your bonnet in access mode otherwise its an absolute pain to change the battery with loads of skinned knuckels, bad back and pain... |

just a point dave, if you get the battery mail order and it goes pants then you might have a problem getting it back to them, buy it from europarts [if theres one near you] and you can take it back ... ... - .- -.
