Craig, I'm a skinny old Brit so not bothered if I don't have the function........so how do I turn it off in the dash? Can I do it without an iiD tool?

I presume yours is a facelift tft car? If so, turn off easy entry in the vehicle settings on the dash screen/vehicle setup screen Thumbs Up

Hi i just noticed this topic and similar was happening to me but my seat was moving as well, every time i got out id come back to a different driving position, then one day i realised it was my fat arse hitting the memory buttons on the side of the seats (the plastic bit was broke and bending down and pressing buttons)

Shocked ^^ sounds like that's oozing too much information Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

The auto tilt / slide steering wheel is a novelty and in true Range Rover tradition it will brake down, not a matter of if, but when Shocked Mine worked when I first got the car... then after 6 months of so it would have the odd hiccup, and now it doesn't work at all Shocked But at least it's stopped whirring away when I remove the key Very Happy Having lived without it for for best part of a year now, I've come to the conclusion that my wallet can live without this function Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Just as an aside, my wheels in/out and memory has just started working again after not working at all since i got it. The up down tilt worked but never actually did anything unless I pressed the lever, and now for no reason at all the entire thing moves back and up when I turn off the ignition and comes back to my driving position when I switch on again Question Maybe it's because it's close to Halloween or something Rolling with laughter

I found it best to disable this function with IID. The motor going in/out/up/down everytime you get in and out seemed to Censored it off...Much better now Jordan

agreed, i've done this with all my FF's..the whirring motor sound is a bit off putting, maybe if it was silent it wouldn't be so bad.. ... - .- -.

United States 2009 Range Rover Autobiography 4.2 SC V8 Bournville

I see this thread is a few years old but my '09 is also doing this.

I was hoping it was a simple issue of some type of calibration. Like with the window auto up/down you have to tell the controller the top and bottom positions (learning the locations).

Unfortunately I was unable to find any reference to this in the service manual.

Maybe someone in the past few years has figured out how to fix this issue! I don't have the IID tool yet but should in a few days (it just got shipped today).

Thanks!
