Yes, key was in my pocket. The police said they have some kind of computer gadget that allows them to bypass that.

even the delear didnt mention the suprlock when i asked about theft. he just mentioned the access mode. 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black

Sorry to hear that tale. Tell the insurance as little as possible about everything!! They are wriggly little bstuds who will use any excuse not to pay.

As most vehicles don't have "Superlock" I wouldn't think your insurance would care.

I have given them an account of what happened and not keen on being done for fraud. As far as was aware before this thread I have locked the car appropriately. According to my neighbour there were some sparks and the alarm didn't go off.

Waheed, i went from a 4.2 to a tdv8 4.4 tractor and absolutely love it ....although i do low miles , the extra mpg makes journeys more satisfying knowing you getting further for the same money...at 80mph ,the engine idles at around 1500 rpm so this makes long motorway journeys effortless ... ... - .- -.
