Went to open the bonnet this afternoon to check the oil and type ready for a service and work being done this weekend coming and guess what.....................

The bloody bonnet cable has which I presume snapped and I'm unable to open the bonnet.

Any clues or do I have to employ a small monkey from Halfords monkey rentals to fix it

Ok, just had 5 minutes and had a look at the bonnet cable. When I pull the handle I feel resistance like it's connected to something but the bonnet will not open.

The cable I ordered as above looks like it's not long enough to reach the front bonnet hole area so is the cable from the handle going somewhere else?

It usually breaks inside the car, the resistance you can feel could be the return spring... take it apart inside and see if you can find the end of the cable, get some pliers and give it a good tug.......  Pete
