Ok, just had 5 minutes and had a look at the bonnet cable. When I pull the handle I feel resistance like it's connected to something but the bonnet will not open.

The cable is in two pieces, there is a joint half way down the drivers inner wing... Pete

So I presume I have to remove the inner wing cover to access this join. Range Rover quotes.....

It usually breaks inside the car, the resistance you can feel could be the return spring... take it apart inside and see if you can find the end of the cable, get some pliers and give it a good tug....... Pete
