Hi all.

I've recently purchased a 2007 SE FFRR V8 and plugged a code reader into it and received the following codes, can someone tell me if these are something that I should have a look at or they are not that serious.


Instrument Pack
B1A82 - External trip switch circuit
U2016 - Control Module Main Software

Parking Brake Control
U0101 - Lost communication with transmission control module

Front Lighting control module
U0102 - Lost communication with transfer case control module

All terrain control module
U0101 - Lost communication with transmission control module

Drivers seat control
B1153 - drivers seat cushion

Running board control module
C1003 Power running board - right stow

Transfer case control module
P0562 - System voltage low
U0073 - Control module communication bus off
U0155 - Lost communication with instrument cluster control module
U0126 - Lost communication with steering angle sensor module.

Vehicle immobilizer control module
B1B01 - Key Transponder
U0155 - Lost communication with instrument cluster control module

Rear entertainment control module
B1D50 - DVD unit

Traffic message channel module
B1A56 - DSM Drivers seat slide control relay failure. Other antenna circuit

Light Check Module
Fault in communication with vehicle ECU


Anyone with ideas?

I'm just guessing here but

P0562 - System voltage low ---- battery issue?

Batteries throw up a load of errors and if the power is low would it not struggle to communicate with various control units? 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

clear all the codes and then check in a weeks time..you'll probably find most are historical.. ... - .- -.

I have cleared all the codes and checked again 7 days later and that's what showed up.

I'll do it again and see what it throws back at me in a few days time.

Just found a site that lists the codes quite well and it says for the following:

P0562 - Charging System Voltage Low

Possible causes

- Low battery charge
- Battery defective
- Loose or missing alternator drive belt
- Faulty alternator
- Open or short system voltage circuit

Notes:
Start by recharging or replacing the battery.

When is the code detected?

The Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected that the electrical system voltage level is out of range.

Possible symptoms

- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Slow engine start
- Low battery power

P0562 Description


The battery supplies electricity to the Engine Control Module (ECM) even when the ignition switch is OFF. This electricity allows the ECM to store data such as Detected Trouble Code (DTC) history, freeze frame data, fuel trim values and other data. If the battery voltage falls below a minimum level, the ECM will conclude that there is a fault in the power supply circuit. The next time the engine starts, the ECM will turn on the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) and a DTC will be set.

For code U2016 - Signal Link Short to Ground (Non SCP) / From NGV Module

It says: Possible symptoms

- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)


No lights showing up and the last service was done 7000 miles ago by the previous keeper!

I searched for Ford fault codes various other LR's this one is still the best

put the voltage monitor on the nav screen on on the hidden menu, see what the alternator is putting out. It could be that your alternator is on the way out. It should be 13.5-14.5v when running. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Are you having any specific issues?

Naa no issues at all apart from when I first had the car the dash screen said something about engine management but that cleared after a good run and someone said it could of been where the car was sat on the dealers.

How do I get to the hidden menus?
