Yup, that's an apple plug if ever I saw one, you might be lucky and have an aux interface installed too, plug in an ipod and see Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Further to this it would appear my Head unit is not standard RR but more likely BMW. Compared to my mates 02 RR it has completely different font the display looks clunky and the buttons are slightly different.

You're right - it does look slightly different - it's been quite a while since I had one of the BMW era cars - so can't quite put my finger on what is different - I think the 3 LED's top right for starters.

Your headunit isnt a Range Rover one, it looks like it's come out of an early X5. That could be reason why nothing is working as it should. |

That head unit looks identical to ours on a 2003 BMW engine car. You should have an on road navigation and an off road navigation selection on the main screen though. The 3 lights top right are for the in built mobile phone in the centre console that I could never get to work, the button top right when pressed should flip the front screen to expose the cassette slot. |
