England 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Ventured out in sub zero temps for the first time in this car. The car lived in Aberdeen for it's first couple of years so I'm sure it has seen lower than the -5 deg I saw in the local valley yesterday. I used the heated steering wheel for the first time. Toastie!
Had a bit of misting up with settings on auto which surprised me but other than that, all good and very secure on icy roads.
Today it has been left in the garage whilst I had to take my wife in to her work place over the hilly snow-covered roads to Macclesfield...in the Defender. The misting up is a much bigger issue in this and we only got a cockpit temp of 10 deg by the time we got there....but the traction was awesome! On the Avon Ranger tyres I struggled to break traction on full (feeble!) boost in 2nd gear on virgin snow covered back roads. In the cold conditions the FF feels secure and comfortable. The Defender feels cold but unstoppable! Very Happy Thumbs Up 2012MY Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 Vogue...now gone!

Mactech, keep the air con on all year prevents condensation.
If it persists check the footwells & spare wheel well for damp. 2011 (MY12) 4.4 TDV8 Vogue

Developed the famous knocking noise from some where underneath over the last couple of weeks. Got it on a ramp today and decided that the drop links looked suspect. So two links changed and noise now seems to have gone. Only £28 for the two from a local motor factors.... amazing how a simple noise can drive you mad !!

Removed the full sized spare wheel which took some effort, Checked for leaks, started to sweep a little dust/debris that had collected in the wheel well then decided to leave it as a Heath Robinson moisture indicator. Embarassed

Fitted the new cradle to help removal of the spare wheel, cleaned and dried the spare and checked the pressure before replacing.

That's a lot of words for a simple, twenty minute job.

collected it from a service. seems to be running ok

I asked them to look into the occasional blip at cruise, apparently there was a fault logged for the PCM which an update will solve (which is what i told them) but the computer wasn't working properly and they were concerned they may do more harm than good. I will have to take it back..... Rolling Eyes

On a plus note I noted that the heated drivers mirror wasn't working, after quoting me £274 for a replacement, i told them it was under warranty and it was done FOC. Cool There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Had a break in the weather this am so decided to fit a set of genuine mud flaps recently purchased. What a ball ache of a job to fit the front ones, 3 hours rolling round on the drive is not good for a man of my years. Not the sort of job that can be abandoned once started though. It seems the easiest way to locate some of the fasteners is to have an extra joint inserted in each finger as it is really difficult. Fronts are done now so just need a fine day to do the rears that look a little easier. Wish someone had mentioned it before though cos I wouldn't have bothered. 😅😅😅 Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.
