Hi - just so your car details appear under your name for your future posts (like they do on LHS column on Stan's and my post here), go to your profile and fill in car details.

The 'liver' you describe sounds like it can be from a type of fungus that grows in Diesel (heating oil and parafin too).

I wonder also if the injector cleaner has removed the gunge from around the seals and they are now leaking.

has the breather on the engine been changed, when they block it causes oil to be forced by the seals causing smoke, if it hasnt get the new vortex type. |

A quick way to see if the engine is breathing ok, filter not blocked. With the engine running, remove the oil filler cap. There should be little to no back pressure. You may have a little smoke, but not too much. When the filter is blocked bad you will hear a hiss as you remove the oil filler cap. Seek help immediately if this is the case as the back pressure stops oil return from the turbo and will cause turbo failure. As Arron says the new vortex one is better, also not a big job to change. |

Hi thanks guys, all great info coming. I've checked my profile and my cars info is there, so not sure how to make it public? Looked at the filter and all seems good, No blowback. Car has run for an hour today with no smoke.....then after restart at paper shop...it was back! Sticky injector? |
