FBH Remote Issues

Tried to sync the existing remote but no joy, therefore purchased a newer style remote from Ebay which was listed as new but gone through the sync process but still no joy.
I know the FBH works as I have started it through the touch screen

the sync process I followed was - pull lead out of the unit hat sits behind the fuse box in the boot, wait 30secs, plug back in and press the off button on the remote at the same time.

Any pointers ?? Regards
Mark

I took me a couple of goes to get it to take.

When you say newer style remote, do you men the L405 style one with 'Range Rover' on it? I tried one of those and it wouldn't work at all.

Thanks, looks like I got the wrong one - at least I didn't pay a lot for it. Regards

Those L405 ones are £250 from Land-Rover!

I stuck mine back on ebay with a better description, pointing out what they cost from Land Rover dealers. I think they also fit the newer Range Rover sport and D4. I got £40 for mine (only paid £25!)

Try replacing the battery in your existing remote, sometimes an older battery doesn't have the juice left to send a clear sync signal through to the receiver.

Worked with mine when I had a similar problem.

Is it definitely a problem with the remote - does the heater work OK when switched on manually ?

I thought it needed a minimum temperature to operate ?

Think you are right Alistair - the temp has to be at 6 deg C or less before the thing will start if my memory serves me.. Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 - L405 (now sadly sold)

You can also use the Remote to turn on the fans for ventilation/cooling when the temperature is higher than 6 Degrees. The LED on the remote shows green for ventilation and red for the FBH.

It may just be a case of trying the pairing procedure a few times, that's what I had to do to get mine sync'ed.

Works fine from the touchscreen

get nothing from the original remote, but I have got a T91 on it's way so will wait until that arrives before trying again.

Thanks for all the info so far. Thumbs Up Regards

Just to clarify here, I don't think there is an issue with the T90/T91 fobs.

But the L405 uses another different fob, which i couldn't get to pair with my L322 at all. The T91 i bought worked perfectly first time. It appears the L405 fob is incompatible with the receiver in the L322.

The T90 and 91 have "Land-Rover" on them. The L405 fob has "Range Rover" on it.
