No FBH fitted in mine. A cooling plant however - it has got an awesome AC. However, just one problem with it. It seems to do either 16 degrees, or hot. Cannot maintain mid temperatures (low 20"s).

The EGR was removed without any significant difference. A while ago, performance came down and fuel consumption up. I had an exhaust built with 70mm pipe and custom silencer. Still quite - I prefer it that way. Will post a pic.

I took it to the dunes once, but struggled with lack of power. Eventually deflated the 19" 255/55 Grabber tires to 0.4 bar to cross the higher dunes. I bought a set of BMW 18" rims (we are extremely limited with availability of LR part and our exchange rate kill the idea of importing anything) and fitted 285/60 tires, but have not tried them yet in the dunes. These tires will deflate better for better flotation. This will solve the problem to a degree, but a bit more power would be great.

The Android shipped on Tuesday and arrived in Windhoek on Thursday. However, the unit is still stuck somewhere in our customs maize. To prolong my life and not to loose my sole to the devil forever, I will not enter this maze and rather wait patiently.

I only did a couple of trips in mine before the EGR delete, chip and clean of manifold, Also did the Vortex breather swap and fitted a pipercross ( K&N type ) air filter. The difference is chalk and cheese, a massive improvement of power and economy. I run 255 50 19`s on tarmac but if going anywhere out of town swap to 265 60 18 Dunlop AT 22`s. Most Landcrusers and prado`s run that size over here so they are readily available in the small adds if you stake one. They air down nice for sand work whilst are not to aggressive to dig holes. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Haylands, I cant argue with that however if you travel in real remote areas with no fuel available, having a 1000klm range is a big plus. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Pete, once again you are correct. This is not a place for a Diesel. Normal off-roading however, I prefer the diesel RR. I own a L405 v8 Autobiography, but the 22" rims limits one to paved roads. When it gets a bit older, it might replace the role of my L302 Td6, when (if it ever) dies one day. My L322 has done 280,000 km already.

Go on then... why do you have to jump a dune in reverse... too much Fosters on board?? Pete

Android unit fitted. Thank you Pete for your "manual". My wiring is different to yours, but you laid a proper foundation. Rest of the info came from the Workshop Manual.Used 2-way crossovers for front speakers (tweeters on one channel and the mid and low speaker bridged). Rear Mid and low speakers are bridged. 2 Channel amp for sub. Sounds good, but not as good as original DSP amp. Once I have tidied up the wiring, will I post a picture.

Forgot to mention:
- to which RR wire is the back lit illumination wire of Android unit connected;
- back light of Android unit switches to "dark mode" when lights are switched on - where can I get the "lights-on" signal on RR
