It's looking great, but has it been re mapped yet? and does it go as good as it looks? And do your engine mappers have a rolling road so that you can get an accurate power reading Need to know, need power.....more power Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Excellent job. I agree with you about the android unit. One of the first things I did. As regards the injector nozzles and the engine sounding different. Is it any quieter/less agricultural.? And may I ask where you sourced them.

Hi Clemenz. ...Performing superbly...front driveshaft splines failed alright as the car never had its recall, but it now has its upgraded front diff plange and driveshaft with CV joint...Other than that it's been 100% reliable. Transmission and torque converter are excellent 2008 Range Rover TDV8 435,000kms

Lots of works involved indeed. Did you end up painting the lower bumper trim?

Hello All. Trust well. Good to see you are pulling well. I remapped the engine using the BMW X5 chip making it far better in changing throughout the gear range but also in fuel consumption. Cost was around £400 fitted. However, in a non-related matter have the dreaded "Transfer box neutral" showing and now coming persistant. Have noted when you take time with the engine off, just the ignition switched to position 2, it can change happly from high to low range and back again. So all ok until you start it up 5 mins later and it "dings" again. Why does it do that? I have a feeling it is one of the ECU's or even a lose connection somewhere as the sat nav screen is also going green! Thought, I mention this as in a muddy field with a box in tow they say to start in low range and also if anyone can offer their kind advice to me. By the way, happy towing and thanks for your time. |
