Discovered that I was reading the temperature wrongly so that had probably been OK.

We found that we needed to cycle through the gears a few times, topping up each time, rather than just the once that the ZF procedure says, then we managed to get in about the same as we'd got out.

newbie to forum and new owner of 2008 ffrr tdv8

i have read this thread top to bottom. and i think i am convinced that a megaflush is the way forward.

i have done my own atf changes on my old mercs and know to drain the torque converter et-all. and i know how much of a difference this makes to the operation of the boxes.

is there anyone in lancashire doing this?

i would describe my ffrr gear change as very slightly clunky at low speeds and gentle driving. i do also think it holds onto gears for far too long. ( on my mercs this was due to vacuum problems but we're talking masively different technologies )

floor it from the lights and it shifts up nice and smooth no problem.

my banger is going into IAWA wellingborough next week for their megaflush and filter change.
I didn't ask the price as it's gotta go in anyways for a service, and the Forum Brembo's to be fitted and swap my DSS for new working ones.
I think my card is going to be steaming by the time I've paid for that lot
I'll post prices when I know them

Mega Flush in Northaptonshire

Can anyone recommend (i.e used and happy) a garage or mobile in Northamptonshire, or even East Midlands. (Not I*W*) for a mega flush?
Thanks.
