Mikey - this was a comment way back (about Page 3) of this thread. I'm assuming you meant 5 speed GM box but was your comment based on any particular reason not to flush the GM box or was it related to something else? I've got a GM box but am planning on changing the oil and filter as preventative maintenance.

The GM box has underlying issues, main one being the soft valve block

An oil and filter change will do it no harm, but it will fail at some point, IME...

i didn't have any gearbox issues but at 75k Craig did a fluid and filter change yesterday.

I didn't notice much difference in the 100 motorway mile journey home.

BUT, today using the car for around town short trips it seems to change smoother than before.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey

Replaced all the fluids under the FF yesterday. The gearbox has transformed into a very smooth changer.

the TC and diffs were done and the oil out of the rear diff was like molten chocolate
