Drivers Memory Function ??

For some reason the memory function on my drivers seat isnt working properly and wont remember the settings i put in, so do you think disconnecting the battery would help or would this mess up any other settings on the car before i do it, it may be the switch, i dont know, just a case of going through things i suppose, any suggestionswould be helpful ?

Disconnecting the battery won't upset anything else apart from the clock... it's worth a try but don't hold your breath... see the procedure for battery disconnect in the WIKI Pete

Dunno if this helps but thought mine wasn't working correctly.

Turns out if I just press the memory button it moves slightly, whereas if I press and hold it moves to the correct position.

If you have the door open and ignition off it will move to the memory position with one touch of the button, if the door is shut or you have the ignition on you have to press and hold the button... it's to stop a one shot move whilst driving... could be dangerous... Thumbs Up Pete

It seems the ECU is inside the drivers seat switch pack.... plenty on ebay

I take it the seats move manually?? if not try fuse 20 and there is a relay for them as well in the front fuse box.... Pete
