The O-ring is missing from the groove nearest the snap ring (i.e. towards the front) Phil |

You've inserted it deeper than 'normal' but I think it will still be okay. At least it's unlikely to be contacting a previously worn part of the park lock gear shaft Phil |

The two screws look like two of the 5-off M6 x 30 screws (27.410) that bolt the duct plate directly to the casing (rather than through the valve blocks) The O-ring is either the oil filter O-ring (27.460) or the park lock gear O-ring (14.110, which you have missing in a previous photo) - they are the same size The two small lip seals are for the long gear selector shaft that passes right through the transmission Phil |

You should measure between 0.20 and 0.40mm endfloat at the front and between 0.25 and 0.45mm at the rear

thank you Phil
right as always, part n 0734 313 181 that I ordered but that I can't find, so maybe lost and I have to re-order ![]()
for screws, yes are M6X30 and I checked this morning ![]() yes , is the filter o-ring that believe included with OEM filter so I have another as spare. the only problem , is that I haven't the output o-ring, I will search, but I think not here the rear shaft can rotate only in one direction by hand, and is opposite to the arrow drawn on the output shaft seal, is right or something wrong I believe have a total of 22 old o-ring replaced it is correct on the 1058 298 022 overhaul.kit, what parts are in surplus and will not fit 032 transmission the park lock gear O-ring must be un the A or B place
I'm sure for 90% that the o-ring is follow, but not copletely sure

you are certainly doing a big overhaul, in that you are doing what seems a full rebuild on the gearbox, and doing the vanos seals at same time. -makes sense while waiting for the parts etc. i did my vanos seals a couple of years back along with the timing chain and tensioner, and guide rails you have an envious working position, in that you have the front off the car. and its warm. i had to do mine outside, over a few days during an everlasting winter with temperatures barely above freezing. (i bought car as not drivable you see)

good luck on the install. as previous, remember to keep the TC in situ till you are ready to mate the gearbox to engine. (ie its parrallel, and recheck TC is still in the correct position. bolt it by hand and wiggle a little, minding the two locating ferrules on the engine dont get squashed. (easily done)

update, after a research I realize to have a capacitor for each bank of coils for radio noise suppression. So the engine work property now.

You definitely engaged the peg on the rooster comb in the slot in the manual valve?
