LandRover jacks are dangerous and completely useless !!

Need to do a kerbside wheel change, no problem, done them plenty of times with ffrr's.

In a nutshell just as I got the spare wheel on the bolts (no nuts on), the car started to move, thought it was my eyes, then saw the jack literally bending like a straw, Censored Censored Censored grabbed the flat tyre as fast as I could and launched it under the side tube at the rear wheel. The motor just balanced itself on 2 bolts and maybe was helped by the last second positioning hasty of the flat tyre. Normally I always place the wheel under the motor whilst changing it over but this time I didn't and it nearly cost me dearly.
Thankfully it held out until the recovery guys came and where able to sort it Bow down Bow down

There are many threads on here about how Censored LR jacks are. I bought mine brand new off Dan and since used it a few times and its been fine but I have just watched it collapse and mangle itself like it was nothing, doing what it was meant to be doing Shocked Shocked
Censored scary !!

I've never used mine, mostly based on the general observation that it would be OK to use once in the event of a puncture. For routine stuff I use a 3T trolley jack but keep the LR one in the boot for emergency use.

Basically I think it should be treated as a one-use item, i.e. throwaway. Keep meaning to get a Sprinter one but never get round to it.

Also have people purchased one with the horn shaped top, so that it locates better on the suspension arms for a better lift of the wheel Question Question
Or where do peps jack from Question

as I was just reading on another forum that someone had purchased one with a flat top and then used a socket (just big enough for the jack to slot into) with a shaped metal bar welded on top. Then it gives the best of both worlds. Regards
