Outstanding Campaigns

My vehicle has now been delivered to the dealer awaiting collection on 1st March.

Topix is showing 2 outstanding campaigns relating to my vehicle...

Does anybody know anything about:

Q454 - Vehicle Wheel Nuts Quality

And

Q465 - RHD Cockpit Harness

Reassuring that a vehicle which just came off the line already has outstanding issues...

If anyone has full Topix access, some more info on the above would be appreciated.

Thanks

I wonder if being able to easily access this sort of information is a good idea, reputationally.

I know what you mean. I can't think of any other manufacturer that makes it so easy.

Must admit it's a bit disappointing to see...cars being built on the line are clearly being built with defects which dealers are expected to fix on PDI or later...

British engineering! Built to standard. Crude but effective sadly.

I'm going to let my retailer know I'm aware to ensure these are done.

Oh gosh what's the safety recall?

Do you know anything about the two campaigns affecting mine? Big job?

(Hi all, first post here! Been more of a Defender + D4 man in the past!!)

Q465-

Quote:
A potential concern has been identified with the wiring installed into the cockpit harness for right hand drive 2015 model year vehicles in the above VIN range. Vehicles should not be operated using the max cooling function until further notice.

These vehicles can't be released from dealers until LR decide upon a fix for the problem, which does not exist as of yet.

Q454- (Now called P056 as it is a safety recall)

Quote:
A concern has been identified where a number of non-black coloured wheel nuts fitted to certain 2015 Model Year Land Rover Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Discovery vehicles may not be to the correct specification.

Wheel nuts installed on the affected vehicles may have been manufactured from raw material where the ultimate tensile strength is lower than that required. In this condition some wheel nuts may crack and detach from the wheel hub stud when subjected to shock loading.

In the event of there being 2 or more wheel nuts fitted to a wheel hub where the ultimate tensile strength is lower than required, and the wheel hub has been subjected to shock loading. The remaining wheel nuts may not be sufficiently strong to secure the wheel to the wheel hub.

Wheels may therefore detach, leading to loss of vehicle control which increases the risk of a vehicle crash.

These wheel nuts will be replaced, so a very simple job.

Hope that helps clarify things.

Pete

Jeezus I love this write up ^

"Wheels may therefore detach, leading to loss of vehicle control which increases the risk of a vehicle crash"

...increases the risk of a vehicle crash....? Typical paraphrase by a deskrat.
Isn't it shameful to produce a 100+ k car and buy the cheepest wheelnuts you can find?

Let down by a third-party supplier, it isn't just LR it happens to.

Looks like my vehicle is going to be stuck with Land Rover then. Not too keen on the sound of that wiring harness one.

Thanks so much for the info and welcome to the forum.

Third campaign now appeared affecting the vehicle.

Q455 - Incorrect Diesel Fuel Filler Neck Fitted

Should I be concerned we have a lemon on our hands?
