I wonder if there are any car/truck drivers out there with footage of the traffic laws cyclists break?

I'm certainly not condoning the car drivers behaviour (I mean why drive a Discovery when there are plenty of RR's out here to be had) but the old saying of "those in glass houses......"

Big Cry

Total Censored - I hope he gets a pull. Morons need to be kept off the road, whatever mode of transport they use.

Driving a 2ton car whilst using a laptop, mobile and headphones is the greater and more dangerous course of action than what pedal bikers get up to. I'd rather be run into by a cyclist than a Disco, but I hope to avoid both. Travelling around in circles again.

From D3,

Statement from Police Scotland:

"Police Scotland can confirm that, following inquiries into footage showing a road traffic matter on Queens Road, Aberdeen, a 46-year-old man has been charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

The incident took place on February 5. It is anticipated the male will appear in court at a later date."

Just imagine that it is your kid/wife/hubby/partner/friend etc. that gets run over by someone who thinks they can do this sort of stuff. If your text/email/IM etc. is so bloody important, stop the car and deal with it but doing it while driving is criminal and can lead to involuntary manslaughter or the likes. I mean anyone driving a car/bike in this day and age is aware of the risks, so if you then hurt or kill someone it is manslaughter MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Mobile phones are one reason I like cars with manual transmissions. One simply cannot try and steer, change gears and use a mobile phone at the same time. Yes, lots of people THINK they can use a phone and use a car with an automatic transmission at the same time. They would be wrong.

Out of curiosity, what are the Scotish laws on this? When the cyclist catches up the the Disco, the car is stopped. Are you allowed to check your phone if stopped in traffic? (Yes, I know that doesn't explain the laptop! Whistle )
