Checking it is using it in the eyes of the law... Just holding it is illegal! Stationary or moving in traffic!

^ Agree with all the in motion use it's the stationary bit that is the grey area in my mind, personally I think that if your stack in traffic and start looking or calling on a mobile phone then it is no more dangerous than scratching your arse in fact the law states that if you must use a mobile then you have to pull over before making or taking a call....is that not the same as being stationary??? some might argue it's actually more dangerous because of the obstruction caused by a parked vehicle on the highway Confused The forums premier drug dealer and human trafficking consultant

Jim, I think the distinction between being stopped in traffic compared to being stopped and parked is that when parked you aren't "active" in traffic and therefore are at liberty to perform actions that would be deemed dangerous were you do them whilst waiting for traffic around you to move off. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Regardless of the various laws that driver is nothing but a divv. Why does he think he's above the law? Or that he has the right to endanger others on the roads we all have to share?

It's the selfish bellends like him who give politicians more reasons to legislate against those of us who do actually have an IQ is more than single digit numbers and we all end up with draconian laws. Selfish few spoiling it for everyone. Hmmm, not come across that phenomenon before.

Laptop ... Looking at the Shaven Ravens on "Sheep in the Scud'

Mobile ... Trying to arrange a date via Sky's online Sheepshaggers dating service ...

From Wiki.... "A vigilante is a civilian who undertakes law enforcement with or without legal authority."

Where do you draw the line on this sort of self-righteous bullshiete then? It's not his place to out this person publically. Where are we going next? Oh… he was doing 80mph on the motorway…. In a three ton car…. He could have killed someone!!

I'm not supporting the use of phones whilst driving but I bet everyone here has done it at some point... So why not walk down to your local police station and hand yourself in? Would stop this helmet cam w4nker getting more publicity. Regards
Mark

But not laptop! Headphones! A phone! All at the same time Mark!!! That's the point! One will limit your concentration where as all three will be an absolute distraction which inevitably will land up in someone loosing their life! Plain stupid!!!!!!!!!

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Don't know how you can compare using a phone with what the Disco driver was doing Whistle

Guy should be up on a Due care and attention charge

As for taking someone taking action to report a serious infringement of the law, that's not self-righteous bullshit, that's being a good citizen.

Are you saying we should all turn a blind eye to law breaking and just let the police deal with it?
Seems to me it's that kind of 'not my responsibility' attitude which has resulted in the UK we have today... 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

I agree with you. What I don't agree with is members of the public playing at being the law and posting video of people breaking it. Regards

Just to add to this.... Every day I see women driving along in traffic putting their make up on in the mirror, (even on the motorway in this case). I've seen mothers rolling along at low speeds through traffic whilst reaching over to retrieve a dropped feed bottle for their child stapped in the seat behind them. I've seen people eating fast food whilst balancing a cup of coke between their legs...
Burn them all.... Regards

^ I know exactly where your coming fom Mark, I'm not saying using your mobile phone when driving is right it's not but there is a real vendetta against those that do yet as you rightly say the amount of mothers that are caught preening themselves in the vanity mirror when taking their kids to school and folk filling their gobs with Burger King and coffee get away with it....all of the above is dangerous but why is using a mobile deemed worse Confused The forums premier drug dealer and human trafficking consultant
