You shouldn't need to bleed the fuel filter. May require a few extra cranks initially but should fire up after that. This assumes all is well on the fuel delivery system further back down the line! .

As above, just crank the engine 3 times with out letting it start so as to fill the filter, then go for it.

is this the same for a tdv8, no bleed required ? |

Just stick the ignition on for 20 secs at a time 2 or 3 times to help the pumps refill the system then crank till it starts |

If it still won't start, pull off the plastic engine cover and look for a pipe that has what looks like a tyre valve, remove the cap and push it down as you crank the engine.
