Alive Tuning, for one can map out TDV8 EGRs If you are familiar with mapping software, it's not a huge issue to overcome. The issues lie I making sure your work is not copied by Joe Bloggs |

No. A warning light does not a complex system make. And emissions tightening standards is only sensible.

On the point of blanking the EGR with plates, we have done this in a few local TDV8 3.6 without deleting the EGR duty cycle in the map, and have had no DTC come up

So, does mapping out the EGR valves cause emission problems at MOT time? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Yes Yes Yes.......someone who thinks like me, if you blank the port on the inlet side of the valve the actual valve would open (ecu's doing its thing valves opening ecu thinks everything is ok) but the burnt gas is not returning to the inlet chamber..........as to UK and ROW cars after exploring the CCF on a UK car everything is there to change it to a AU configuration on the audio and TV side of things any way the venture cam was also there but turned off all you have to do to get it working on a car that came out of the factory without one is turn it on in the CCF, so I would guess there is no difference in the programs only in the way they are set up Did you notice any improvement after blanking them off?? In respect of the MOT I would say not if the motors ruining well it will pass an emissions test with the EGR blanked Ziggy "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." Bet that smells like an old ice cream van doesn't it? Removing both the EGR & Cat makes them stink! |
