I'd get yourself some shin pads, they didn't make the tow bar removable for nothing Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

13pin sockets are now fitted as the norm now, as the Caravan manufacturers have been using the 13pin plug as standard since about 2009, and even the trailer manufacturers are moving to them.

You wont regret the 13 pin set up, with an adapter it gives you the best all round options Plus the 13 pin wiring, assuming that it's OEM, is the only one that will accept LED's without the need to faff about with resistors to stop all the error messages on the screen of Doom, accompanied by the Bong of death Had one on my FFRR for 6 months, have towed 50 odd different trailers without any drama Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Actually, the reason that they are using 13 pin plugs is, all trailers made after September 2012 have to be fitted with reversing lights, and tested by VOSA or be type approved before you can use them on the road, and this is the law Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
