They look good,

Definitely another mod on my growing list, now do the pads just stick to rear of light fitting ?, and if using two sets in each light how do you join them ?

Any more pictures of the 'build stage' you carried out,

Used a strong glue like hard as nails when fitted to hold onto silver ridged back reflective I met the two together in the hole. In middle then pushed together put a dab of superglue on a few touch points in middle as well as three small dabs hard as nails on underside then put cover back on with silicone left five mins to go hard then fitted, really easy, the only hard part is making sure there warm enough to split apart so you can get a Stanley blade or a small flat paint stripper blade to slide around part of seal to prise open once half open place over heat and gently work it till it fully prises apart. _____________________________________________________

Anyone tried these as a reverse light boost?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Range-Rover-L...5412dc2103

A bit late now as I've just ordered four of the one's Scotty used!

I just need a bit of night vision assist for the reversing camera to give me any feedback in the pitch black of our
countryside driveway. As the winter evenings and mornings drew in I realised how rubbish the camera was in the dark. 2010 FFRR VOGUE TDV8 Stornoway Grey - Current

Thanks for that, useful reading, I may start with these then. at £25 ish it seems a lot better than
potentially hacking the reversing lamps which look to be £80 a pair if I balls it up Very Happy 2010 FFRR VOGUE TDV8 Stornoway Grey - Current

Word to the wise about those, don't forget to fit some red reflectors to another part of the rear of the car, otherwise you will be talking to the boys in blue rather a lot. A vehicle must be fitted with red reflectors on the rear to be used on the public highway, and before you all say my neighbors car don't have them, they are usually built into the red rear lights, which most FFRR's don't have, hence the little reflector strips in the bumper.

The law is here http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/schedule/18/made

Basically they must be with in 400 mm of the side of the car, no higher than 900 mm, and no closer to the ground than 350 mm. Then there are lots of requirements as to the viewing angles, but there is no minimum size stated, however they must be type approved and carry the mark l or lA to be legal. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... I'm going to try Scottyav's solution, might be a wee bit more work, but his results look Cool , I have thrown caution to the wind and turned my back on my Scottish up bringing, and splashed out an extra 4p per unit and got these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131368998144?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT

They are as near as dam it the same size, but about 80% more Cool, Scottyav's are 240LM output which gives him 480LM's, the ones I got are rated at 450 LM, so I'll have 900LM's per light ! Not a bad return on 16p Mr. Green Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I got hold of the SAE standard for reflex reflectors (J594 if you're interested, **Yawn**)
which was interesting but of no functional use, this however was more enlightening...

http://www.ukmot.com/mot%20manual/index.as...ion=lights

So this indicates that position is not as critical as them actually being there and equally spaced and visible, oh, and red... 2010 FFRR VOGUE TDV8 Stornoway Grey - Current

Scottyav, how hot did you have to warm up the lights before being able to separate them?

I'm trying to do mine now. Been at it for nearly 20mins with a hair dryer and there's no sign of the glue melting so that I can prise it open Big Cry The glue on mine looks like the stuff used to glue together model planes etc. Can't use force because the lens plastic is brittle.
I'd rather not cut into it from the back. Travelling around in circles again.

I just held the lens over the oven gas flame so heat was going along the edges then gently got a Stanley blade to open up when it started to prise open they open easily Thumbs Up
