Canada 2006 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Please add me to the ever growing list of those afflicted with water ingess in the spare tire well of my 2006 HSE. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a replacement air compressor tomorrow and have taken steps to identify the source of the leak. Here is a video of my attempts earlier today:
https://vimeo.com/46200795
I think that the leak on my FFRR is from the armature hole on the passenger side (right hand here in Canada) so I hope to remove the bumper tomorrow and seal up the holes. Any tips on the bumper removal?

Thanks for all the info so far. 2006 HSE

I have also now discovered the obligatory leak! I am not going to waste much time on this, so took the easy option and removed the two rubber drain plugs adjacent to the air compressor - far easier to manage water that has got in and give it an easy way out - hopefully!

Have also been troubled with repeated condensation from new, not from the recent leak though, hopefully the plug removal should stop it.

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Ipanema Sand

after reading this tread went and had a GOOD look for any tell tale signs of water leak on my 2007 tdv8.,
bearing in mind that it was quite warm last week the spare wheel well etc showed no sign of past/present water damage.
there was however a plastic bag that was sealed over the satnav/dvd compartment.
was this placed because the previous owner had issues or was it part of factory fitted.
also found the door bump stop in the middle of the drain channel was not even bolted on!
so just as well i performed the inspection..

next stop... back wiper motor modification as per wiki!!!

Good timing in resurrecting this thread as Ive recently suffered my BlueTooth module being totally destroyed by water and wiping out my entertainment system. A fibre optic bypass quickly had all my particulars visible again, thankfully Thumbs Up
Removing the inside trims of the D pillar revealed that the water has been pouring down both of them also soaking the wadding thats on the inside of the trims. Seems to be pouring down & collecting mainly all over the electrics side of the boot and has gingerly filled the bluetooth module but thankfully nothing else. Took the roof lining down, removed roof mounted ariel and then proceeded to seal that back onto the roof with a liquid gasket solution. Looks like it has made a difference but it hasn't solved it, few drips are still getting in somewhere around the D pillar......

Seeing the price of the BT modules I dont think Ill be in a hurry anytime soon to replace it.

Well not that I wanted start a new thread but to resurrect this old thread for any newbes on here, this is a reminder to check your boot.

For a while in this wet cold weather my FF has been very slow to clear the glass inside, so few days back while we had a break from the rain and on a frosty clear day I was checking the spare wheel well... Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

If the spare wheel could have a bar of soap and a rubber duck you would of swore it was having a bath in there, wet and frozen, looks like I have a few jobs to do. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Only good news is the left and right side compartments are bone dry........for the time being Rolling Eyes If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Without wanting to tempt fate, I feel really lucky - the boot is completely dry and the tailgate appears completely rust free Thumbs Up

hi all..
2004 RR
my water is definitely coming from above the amp (as the amp is wet - and 1st one destroyed) -

so not thinking its the bolts in the bumper - looked under there - could see nothing..

possible coming from the front sun roof? would HATE to have to remove the headliner Sad

hung a dry rid (or whatever its called) in that compartment (Driver Rear)..

thanks..
