according to the WM its 1.2 litres from dry and less when changed... ... - .- -.

In I get the padlock even though I haven't got the locking rear diff, as the locking is done by the abs system afaik. You have to get under and have a look👍 though I would hazard a guess you don't have one as it's not a massively common option. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer๐๐

Here is a picture of the rear diff. Checked all the 4x4 info and no sign of any padlocks my car does not have terrain response

Done a bit more digging and I recon it is the rear locking diff on mines called LR they checked the vin and said it is and also had another good look underneath this time and spotted a wire going into the top of the diff.

found a 8mm allen socket which fits the fill bolt on the rear diff, tried to free of both the fill bolts front was fine but the rear is not for moving don't want to round it so left it for now.

i am facing the same drama with rear diff. has a wire going on top of it.

I would say that is a vent pipe, not electric wire. |

If you have the e diff you will see the motor on top of it ๐ |
