Diesel leak on drive....

Good morning everyone, having got home last night there was a damp patch on the drive under the RR passenger side (it hadn't been moved alday). So bonnet up, nothing obvious, looked underneath and it appeared damp on the steering rack rubber. Touched the damp patch on the rubber and ground, it smells like diesel. So I'm guessing that I have a leak. Looking under the bonnet area it looks around the filter side.
I seen a few posts which I will search for for extra reading, what's the best way forward with this send it to the garage or could it be a simple issue like O rings, split pipe ect?
Any advice as always gratefully received. Borrowed Grey 2002 3d 204k for a year

The hose going onto the High-pressure pump is prone to leak. Easy fix, undo the Jubilee clip, pull off hose, snip off 1/4 inch and refit. 2007 TDV8 VSE

So day off today up early to look for leak, having stripped everything away wheel arch liner, heat shields ect couldn't find any pipe leaking.
Started it up and it's a constant drip drip drip from the base of the fuel filter housing.
Simple question....
Can this be taken off and fixed/repaired or is it a visit to eBay to find another one....
Thanks for any advice... Borrowed Grey 2002 3d 204k for a year

So having took the filter off, and disconnected the sensor. I undid the black plastic insert, which goes into the housing. Once removed I found a black rubber seal, took it out cleaned it up and upon close inspection it had a little crescent shaped "nick" in it about where the drain must have been. So as a quick fix I've put in a fiber washer the same size as the original rubber one on top of it, tightened it up, refitted it, connected the pipework up, and turned the engine on, so far there's no leak. Borrowed Grey 2002 3d 204k for a year
