New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Paul, park the car at an angle with the filler plug higher (driver side UK) then than other side of the gearbox (so on a high curb for example) let the engine run (in park with parking brake on and blocks on the wheels to be safe) and add it.

When the car is level the fluid should just be running out of the filler opening (with the engine running, otherwise it would be pouring out) but with the car leaning to the left that should not happen so you won't lose any ATF when adding these additives. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Eugene, once this is added do you let it self level by opening the filler on flat ground again or have it slightly over filled? Discovery 4 HSE

Adam, i doubt there is much more than an egg cup if you add both additives... If just the "shudder fix" then not much more than a desert spoon full... And in all of those litres, it won't make any difference in volume my friend Thumbs Up

Like Craig says, it is very little volume you are adding so I would just put it in, close the plug and turn off the engine. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Your better off putting two tubes in a large gearbox.

Well I have done about 300 miles since I put the Dr Tranny additive in the gearbox, changes seem smoother and have noticed there is no clunk when putting it in reverse Cool 2005 Range Rover Vogue with Supercharged Accessories

On the D3/D4 forum they add Dr Tranny via the front Gearbox Oil Cooler in minutes, can you access the TDV8 Oil Cooler or is it hidden and inaccessible. ?

Gary.
I didn't locate the oil cooler on the TDV8, I just added it to the gearbox when I did the oil/filter change.
Always use the Lubeguard as a preventative/care addition when I do the gearbox maintenance.he last
Have done so for the last 10 years or so, with no problems.
@Phil. Whats your view on these additives?

BTW the motor is still running fine after nearly a year.
