your key logo will be in the bag so dont loose it

first, sync the key. make sure it opens and closes your doors and boot
then get the key cut,

if there is a problem with the sync and you have cut the blade they will not exchange it.
dont mess around with your transponder chip fit it to the key after its been cut V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Thanks Daveo, they arrived in the post this morning.

I thought they were faulty at first, couldn't get them to sync at all. In the end i worked out that they would only sync if they were the first ones to be sync'd rather than after the other keys, not sure why. Anyway after 45 mins of trying they open and close the doors

Now just trying to find somewhere to cut them, no-one around here will cut them or has the proper machine to do it

Got mine they look great just got to wait for my RR to come back from the LPG update etc

Any one know a place in Surrey or near Southwark to cut the keys once I've sync'd them etc

Mine turned up today, been to two places to get it cut, both said they don't cut customers keys because they have cut cheap ones before and they were made of a material (too hard) that ruined there cutting machine, so they only cut there own....

Oh well... keep trying...

I managed to find a place to get my key cut, Timpsons rang me back and said that another branch of theirs will cut it for me, although as it was source by me, they take no responsibility if it doesn't work/breaks etc etc.

The key looked like it was fine, and will open the door on the FF, BUT it won't turn in the ignition
Having looked at both keys when they are in the ignition, i thought that the new key doesn't go in as far as the original, so i disassembled the new key, but still it won't turn.

Having looked at both keys together, their is a slight difference in the cut.

Daveo, can you get more blades? Are they easy/cheap to source?
