+ 1 for the iidtool, but the dealers setup couldn't talk to your FF ,is there a problem with the obd port?

Stan - the battery seems fine to me and I'm sure these guys would've checked that first (after all they're not amateurs).

I've already tried the disconnection of the battery procedure altho' I didn't put the leads together from memory.

batterys good then....it has to be the obd port or the obd fuse gone [if there is one] |

My understanding is that it's essentially a serial network - similar to the old christmas tree lights.... one duff bulb takes out the rest in the circuit
