Infra. Red rear view camera

I bought this Infra Red rear view camera from eBay, the description said it would fit a 2011 4.4 Range Rover. Looking at the pictures enclosed, would you think this is a straight swop for what is on the car?

wont be a straight swop..you'll have to fettle the camera and strip and rewire the cables.. ... - .- -.

Thanks for that Stan, so there will not be plugs on the original camera, do you think, it will be just be a case of cutting the existing wires and fitting plugs to suit the new camera. I wonder if the existing camera comes out of its mounting and with a bit of effort the new camera will fit in its place. I am just trying to improve the rear vision at night a bit.

Maybe I should do a search: replacing reversing camera.

It's a different size & shape to the original camera - I would think that will be the most effort. You will also need to check the viewing angle.

Cabling should be straight forward - there should only be 4 wires - 2 for power & 2 for video. So use a meter to establish which are the power connections, then you have a 50/50 chance of getting the video the right way around the first time.

On your new camera, the red plug is power & the centre pin should be +ve Thumbs Up
