Pre-07 facelift, the cars had orange indicator lenses - then fashion changed and they went clear

i have the facelift lights, and upgraded the sidelamps to non error 501 types, and they look great, i then changed the amber 'egg' bulbs for those clear ones that flash orange. they also look good, as they are filament type, and cant be 'seen' as they look clear. i tried a few high watt led bumper fog lights, but they were really poor light, as were the high beam LED's so i stuck with the normal ones. at the rear i have the SC lights, and also used those funny clear lights, that flash the correct colour, but look a bit green, and cost a lot. i was gonna change my number plate lights, but they light up the plate even more than normal, making me easier to see making an escape from whoever, so i left them alone too.! |

Ideally the cree LED's need to emulate the filament bulb to get the reflector in the indicator to work correctly... If you were to use just forward facing LED's then surely the dispersal of the light would be incorrect... |

These are pictures of the bayonet fit, plug and play, error free, main indicator LED bulbs that I've happily got on the front and rear of the SC now (they've been on over a month).

Look right to me The LED's are set somewhere close to where the filament of a bulb would normally be so would work in the correct fashion imho

Excellent. Looks like I'm best making sure the bulbs I get have sideways facing LED's, as you chaps have already suggested.

850 Lumen is quite bright I think as ours are 30W and are definitely 400 Lumen (850 Lumen applicable to the 30W bulb you're interested in Mark, according to the seller's claims anyway).

The reverse lamp bulbs are a small bayonette fitting stan (like an old type torch bulb) and the 501 is a push fit (front side light bulb) |
