if you just put the original key into the ignition with out the guts it will not work for sure and no you will not cause any issues...give it a go V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

mustard can you take a photo of your to keys, it will have to be a good quality and close up.
does the new key slide into the ignition smoothly

Ok so took the guts out of the original key, went out to the motor and put the key into ignition, no clicks as expected but it did turn the ignition to position 1, no further as its solid at that position. I put it all back together and tried again, everything back to normal again.

The flip key wont turn at all, proper solid. Ill go fetch the keys, photo them and put them up here however I can only use my iphone to take pics as thats all I have

Key slides into ignition with no issues at all, I only get the click from the ignition if the transponder is in the flip key

Hard to get the lighting right for the pics, took about 20 in different settings etc


Ok Ive edited the post and re done the pics to make sure they are both the same sides of the blades next to each other

To me it looks wider and the groove near the tip looks straighter?

Synced on the first try, now just need to do the blade as the old transponder is also on place.

Then need to glue the case closed  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

the key was cut by a baffoon, the cut is far to long, on the ignition lenght is critical, all you can do with that is take some of the end of the key to get the tip and the start of the cut lined up.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Hi Daveo, do you have any 'spare' flip keys left over? Only asking as I have an 03 Vogue with only one key and I would like to increase my chances of being able to use it when I eventually loose that one key

If not, when are you doing another batch and how many orders do you need?

And lastly, can I confirm that you need the EWS in order to supply an additional key? I.E. you need the EWS to program a new chip to the new key???

insert old key into lock fm 0 to i withon 5 secs and then out.
in flip key press the unlock fr 15secs and during this period press 3 times lock

procedure should be the one since i resyncd the old type key but under no way the flip key
also when i insert the flip key in lock i donot hear the unlocking sound/not turning to position.hever normally lock/unlock doors

Any ideas please???????

hi mate,,, ok try the sync process in doors not in the car so you get it right, press the bottom key it will flash then starts to flash fast,keep it pressed,,, at this point you then press the top button 3 times, do the 1,2,3 mississippi thing then relese both buttons..you are looking for the 3 long flashes, get this right then try in the car... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

with the chip,please make sure there is not an unprogramed one in there, i thought i removed them all but i did over look a few, hold the chip near the ignition you should here the click,if so pop the new key in and try turning but dont start just put ignition lights on then off... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Problem is that cannot be syncd?????Pressing unlock button,after old key fm o to i then back to o and out of ignition.Press unlock button and as soon as light starts quick blinking pressing 3 times lock button but nothing Have tried even against chronometer so to be exact on required secs??????
Supposing that i am doing sync procedure right can be any other reason that is not syncd???
