Green Trailer light when towing

Just hooked up the tintent (caravan) having had the 7 pin socket replaced with a 13 pin one for the new van and the green trailer light is on all the time. On my old D3 this used to flash with the indicators. Can anyone confirm if this is normal please?
Genuine LR 13 pin wiring kit used. Replaced genuine LR 7 pin kit. Nothing else done. Indicators work fine on the van and flash in time with the car as you would expect.
Thanks in advance
Dom

This thing has a mind of its own. My trailer light never comes on, although all the lights work fine....

I towed my van two weeks ago for the first time, previously it had been a Disco 2 with the syncrhonised green trailer light flashing in time with the indicators, however my FFRR just had the constant green trailer light.

It has just been changed from genuine LR single electrics to the genuine kit from single electrics to 12n & 12s electrics, yet to try it out though.

I have been towing with mine for nearly five years and never knew there was a green light.

Genuine LR tow kit, suspension locked light comes on but no green light.

Where is it?

Ian

On my defender, it only came on when I indicated left or right. Shocked

Iknow this is old, but has anyone got any other points?

My little green trailer light stays on all the time when the trailer is attached, the hand book says it should flash.
But most evidence says it stays on. Has anyone got one with a factory installed socket to compare against? Mine has the genuine wiring from landy dealer programmed with autologic by local reputable indy.

Just wondering if he did it right? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Mine has trailer electrics and i tow often... My green light does not stay on on any of my past three FF's! Why/what did the indy do? Mine has always been plug & play...

Craig Thumbs Up

Just to join the fun - mine stays on all the time when I have the light board of my bike rack connected.

It aslo tells me to check trailer lights ever time I take the key out - so I do - but they're alway fine. Geoff

Mine was a Westfalia 'plug n play' and does stay on. But I do use a converter, to convert from 13pin (I'm not sure if that makes ant difference)

(Also tells me to 'check lights' every time) Confused

Pretty sure handbook claims trailer light ON when hooked up. It's because you'd never notice otherwise Wink Land Rover Addict

As far as i know, and have been told by both the indy and the main agent, the land rocer kit is not plug and play, it will work but requires programming to activate the shut off for the parking sensors and ride height. Aparently.

All the lights work fine and the parking sensors on the back do cut off. Not sure about the ride height, tricky to check, am i correct in assuming that as it doesnt flash with the indicators i will get an error message when a bulb goes.

Have checked the book and it does say flash in the dashboard lights section, maybe they havent updated the book as it also list a check trailer lights message and there would be little point in having a flashing light and a message. there seems to be a consensus for it staying on There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
