I'd have said 25mm dia leads would do the trick but if you want belt & braces then Halfrauds do a 35mm set that they rate for diesels up to 4ltr. |

Need to be extremely careful with LR and jump leads. They can cause spikes that damage ecu's and other components when connecting them. You should really use an anti spike controller or a jump pack with built in anti spike to prevent damage. TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.

Thank you everyone for your advice. The jump leads are for a forthcoming European trip and space will be at a premium so I will have no room for a jump pack. I've no idea what an anti spike controller is. Is it something you can attach to your jump leads?

i have just got a pair of heavy duty cables from ECP and have jumped to and from the car on several occasions without a problem.

I was just going to suggest Anderson connectors Will limit poor connections by 50% and save you a tiny bit of space too |

I use 175A and they've been fine - seems to be what most people use - I trawled a few Landrover & other sites.
