Worn out wipers at 15k miles

Just had the RR in for it's first service 15k miles at 10months old - all ok except that the windscreen wipers are shot already and it would be £52 to replace them!

Seems to me to that that performance is a tad below par - even allowing for built-in 'failure.

Or am I expecting too much......?

On the up side, went online to AF, ordered some Bosch 808's and got an email back within the hour to say they were being dispatched - now that's a nice, quick service. Over to you, Royal Mail...... 2012 FFRR Westminster Orkney / Ivory and absolutely no pimp-glass!

Not sure if yours are flat or "normal" type with metal frame. But 6 months was the limit in the flat type. They seem to hate hot weather and start getting noisey and judder TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.
TDV8 Sport. Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!
Other toys in the cupboard.......

Re: Worn out wipers at 15k miles

Suppose it all depends on how often they were used and conditions of use. Better they spotted the wear as £50 or less to replace blades is preferrable so as to avoid ruining an expensive screen due to scratches etc... And there are views that the RR windscreen compound is soft and less durable than might be expected Thumbs Up

Why, is that dear or cheap (We had a Disco3 several years back and I recall the wiper blades being £50 odd pound then... & was the OP £52 not also incl the MD fitting them too)?

Holy moly!! 52 quid for wipers?

I get mine off t'internet at £14.99 a set, free delivery. I replace mine every year. regardless of usage as I'd rather have a clear view of the road ahead than looking at the dike I've run into cos I can't see out the windscreen.

Remember that yor car can fail it's MOT if the wipers dont clear a certain amount of the screen...it's a maintenance item like everything else!

What's better LR or Bosch 808's?
I've got the wiper clunk, changed wipers for LR ones but after a few months its back again.
