The standard Jack is not big enough to fit into locators if in off-road height therefore in most cases physically impossible to attempt. Therefore when using Standard or access and supplied jack the Wheels will droop and you need to keep jacking until wheels clear the ground.

The supplied jack has enough winding to get the car off the ground even with the droop (just). Locating it in offroad is the issue. |

which is how i started the thread.....how come when in kwik fit, it was not possible, even when using a trolley jack, to get the wheel off the ground when the suspension was in access mode.

Access height will have the maximum droop as explained.

and why should locating the standard jack in off road height be more of an issue than locating it in normal height?

My manual says car must be in Off road height before jacking up 2011 car Far to many gone... |
