AA man couldn't sort it out either, I'm trained as a mechanic and pretty much told him, he wouldn't be able to fix it lol.

I had almost exactly the same symptoms as you describe on my TD6, only difference was if I left the ignition on for 2 mins with the fuel pump priming and did this a couple of times it would eventually start. Anyhow to cut a long story short it only occurred when the fuel was down to about a quarter of a tank. Happened a couple of times while I was diagnosing the issue. Turned out to be a faulty in tank fuel pump which was not siphoning fuel from the left saddle side of the fuel tank. Replaced pump and now its been fine. Obviously yours could be some other failure but thought I would let you know just in case it helps. |

It's still at the stealers atm but they are changing the filter first, before going back to the in tank pump. Personally I hope it is the pump otherwise the warranty won't cover the filter, and I'll end up paying over £100 just to have them replace a 5 minute filter. Bushy
