hoping my mpg improves slightly now i have had a new caliper on the back of mine, I have been getting around 22mpg recently, though this has been mostly round town and a few country roads, i dont do many motoway miles, though when i bought it i was gettting closer to an indicated 24mpg. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

My TDV8 normally indicates 26-27mpg but that is mostly motorway work. When the rear caliper starting sticking it did drop to about 24. At the time I didn't spot that as a clue to what was wrong but useful to know for the future. It does seem to have popped back up now that I've fixed the brakes.

not so much an opinion on the mpg's but the quietness of a petrol car against the td6 tractor noise, i didn't realise the td6 engine was so loud.... ... - .- -.

Refinement wise there really is no comparison between a V8 and a TD6. The V8 is Super smooth and sounds amazing when you want it too |

For now, the td6 will have to do for me. I can't afford a tdv8 yet. |

Pity the whine of the supercharger is so expensive in fuel, otherwise we would see a lot of you changing to an S/C. It is still weird how fast and easy a S/C accelerates !!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I never thought a diesel V8 would sound as good as my TDV8 does to be honest, it's got that perfect V8 deep note as you go through the 2000-3000 rev range Land Rover Addict

When I was still studying mechanical engineering (including engines and how they work), I never dreamed of seeing the current sound engineering of the exhaust systems coming. I only remembered that you want to dampen the noise and minimize exhaust flow restrictions.

Do the petrols come with any difference in spec? Ie, does a petrol vogue of the same year have the same spec as a diesel vogue? And is a td6 vogue different spec to a tdv8 vogue? |

Same basic spec except unless in a cold climate at which point they don't come with an fbh as standard in petrol. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
