Well after going to the bother of changing my battery thinking that it was at fault I took the FFRR to Stirling today, everything was fine on the road up and did a couple of short trips around Stirling before heading back to Glasgow. About 10 minutes after leaving Stirling the dreaded bong and HDC/AIR popped up. I switched the engine off, removed the key as in previous times but this time when I put the key back into the ignition everything cleared without having to do the steering lock to lock

I decided to pop into my MOT man and stick the Autologic on to see if anything was amiss and it came up with 'rear left speed sensor open circuit' so I will investigate that tonight with the ohm meter to see if I can find anything.

I removed the plugs for the rear sensors and stuck an ohmmeter on the pins, the N/S gave a reading of around 1365 and the O/S gave a reading of 1 so I now need to double check with the garage what the Autologic 'left side' means as it's my O/S that looks to be at fault.




Does anyone have any good tips for removing a seized sensor?

Left is from the back of the car with All Comms (USA) and IIDTool (Canada/Europe) if that helps? Maybe both sides are just one not faulting yet ? .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

Fook, that's mine on the blink now, locked in normal height, no lights on controller, bong + warining of max 30mph in offroad height! Too good to be true, not had any issues for 6 months, bastid car!

I've removed the ABS sensor this morning, the fecker decided it didn't want to come out of the hole it's been in for the last 10+ years so I had to remove it in bits

I've decided to change the other side whilst I'm at it so I'm going to remove that one now

Aye, lulled into a false sense of security then bang, more cash to thrown about! Sadly don't have a code reader so another trip to the garage!Thinking about what i've spent on the car in the last 3 years, i could easily afford a cayenne turbo.....

Resetting ALL Defect Codes
Ignition key must be “off”.
• Press and hold the Check Control button in the instrument cluster (RIGHT button), and turn the ignition key to the first position (KLR).

* You will first see "Check Control OK", some seconds later you will see "Test Nr.01"
* Push the left button on the instrument cluster to see the car's identification number. Add the 5 digits (not 6) together and write down that number, you will need it for unlocking all the functions. Example: A123457 will lead to 2+3+4+5+7 = 21
* Push the right button until you see "Test Nr.19"
* Push left button until you see the number that is equal to the one you calculated above
* Push right button again
* Using the left button select 21. Reset all defect codes
* Press the Right button to select.

Never got it to work on mine even though it goes through the motions. Mine has the touch screen nav which may be the reason. I cant select the number with the left button as per the instructions

Will try the battery disconnect 1st then take it from there, sadly no-one local has autologic, unless anyone knows somwhere in tayside??

Have you tried steering turned lock to lock yet?

Just removed the other sensor, again it came out in bits then I gave the bore holes a clean up with the Dremel. When I fit the new sensors I'll put some grease around then to prevent them seizing in again

Fitted the 2 new sensors this morning and took the FFRR out for a run, so far no problems but I won't rule out more problems just yet
