To fix it they can't just pull that back! They need to chop it out and weld in a new section! It will be quicker, not have any filler in it, and still be as strong if not stronger as a weld if done right is stronger than just a sheet sometimes......

I'd ask for a proper assessment am then push for a right off with buy back to reduce overall costs as a hire car will soon up that bill with an RR/as/d4 being at least £140 per day it will add some to the total bill.

I would not be happy with that being pulled out! They so that kind of stuff to cut n shuts!! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Re salvage, when we had a saloon damaged while on holiday (someone ran into the back of us) we couldn't open the boot. When I went to the salvage yard to remove personal items 3 weeks later (a forum like this told me how to release the rear seats with a screwdriver from the cabin) I found the recovery people or the yard had opened the front windows and left them open. The pristine leather interior was a complete mess. All thoughts I had of buying the car back and a private repair went out of the window. A real shame. I removed the repeater indicators I had recently replaced with aftermarket ones, but I forgot to take the old ones with me. The insurance company nearly refused the claim because when they inspected the car due to the missing indicators the car "was not complete". Rolling Eyes

When collecting my car from the body shop in Coventry I was shown 3 brand new Range Rovers which had been damaged at the factory. One FFRR was on the lower deck of a transporter about to be delivered when the driver hit the wrong button and dropped the upper deck down onto the FF causing even more damage than Jims but they were going to repair it.
