the trouble with your calcs James is that someone in london who has a tdv8 for instance and pays high fuel prices will have a different cost to someone with the same vehicle in swindon for instance...so in reality its not a level playing field.. ... - .- -.

I suggest to also take other cost "linked" to the car in account, road tax differences, insurance cost differences etc. in the km price ! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

see your point Stan but that is their "real life" cost, whether it be MPG or cost per mile. I agree that different areas and environments (town vs country) affect things, but mixed driving should average things out? |

I'm not sure it does tbh, you are just going to see a regional hike among the same variants, I have been forced to fill up £1.55 a litre before now, and as cheap as £1.31 - that's a big difference over a few hundred litres! Land Rover Addict

Same thought had crossed my mind Dolphinboy, now I am LPG I always work out my cost per mile fill to fill, I get between about 21 and 24p per mile dependent upon LPG prices. 03 4.4 V8 petrol / lpg. 1st of many hopefully. I love my Rangie |

i dont think range rover owners worry to much about fuel prices its more of an educated interest that prompts peeps into mentioning mpg's... ... - .- -.

Who's worried? Some people may be interested to know what it costs to run LPG for comparison, just like some may like to know what it costs to run using Biodiesel. 03 4.4 V8 petrol / lpg. 1st of many hopefully. I love my Rangie |
