How much brake fluid is req for a system change? Also will any DOT4 brake fluid surfice? Would halfords own be ok or do we need something more exotic? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Any DOT4 will be fine. how much depends on how much you pump through. I would have thought 1 litre should be plenty

What's the best way of doing it? Pump until clean ish fluid comes through each corner, making sure the reservoir doesn't go below the min mark? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

That looks good but has spongy brakes written all over it! Whistle [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I always thought they would be a load of crap, but I bled my brakes with one earlier this year when I changed the calipers and when I went for my MOT the tester couldn't believe the pressure at the wheels

Awesome bit of kit and highly recommended Thumbs Up

Caliper changed today. Took all of 30mins and a simple job. Bled the brakes and flushed through each corner. Used about 1.5L of brake fluid. The new fluid is a nice dark honey colour but the old stuff is really dark. I'm not sure if it changes with age but it didn't look to nice. Will be giving it another flush in a weeks time just to be sure. Can't really feel much difference in the brake pedal but the work for cant complain. I've always been able to push the peddle to the floor which is still there but this would cause a massive lock up if the ABS didn't cut in. If anyone's I retested will post some pics of old and new fluid? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Euro Car parts.

Look for the pagid ones and at the checkout use PAGID30 as the voucher code. They surcharge £24 ontop and refund this when you send yours back in or drop at back at their nearest depot which to be fair is more than what you would get for it on ebay in its current state Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Pagid30 unfortunatly doesn't work any longer it seems. That's for the input though , at least I've found euro car parts who stock them and are still considerably cheaper that other sites I have seen sofar. MY2010 TDV8 Vogue Ipanema Sand

Worked for me Wink Are you trying it on a PAGID caliper though and not an eibach thing?

Also is this for a rear caliper?

Try PARTS25 as well Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
