How much brake fluid is req for a system change? Also will any DOT4 brake fluid surfice? Would halfords own be ok or do we need something more exotic? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

What's the best way of doing it? Pump until clean ish fluid comes through each corner, making sure the reservoir doesn't go below the min mark? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I always thought they would be a load of crap, but I bled my brakes with one earlier this year when I changed the calipers and when I went for my MOT the tester couldn't believe the pressure at the wheels

Caliper changed today. Took all of 30mins and a simple job. Bled the brakes and flushed through each corner. Used about 1.5L of brake fluid. The new fluid is a nice dark honey colour but the old stuff is really dark. I'm not sure if it changes with age but it didn't look to nice. Will be giving it another flush in a weeks time just to be sure. Can't really feel much difference in the brake pedal but the work for cant complain. I've always been able to push the peddle to the floor which is still there but this would cause a massive lock up if the ABS didn't cut in. If anyone's I retested will post some pics of old and new fluid? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

166 pounds including a surcharge of 54 pounds..... Still considerable more than the figures quoted earlier in the thread. I'm just going to ender the discound code and see what that does |

Pagid30 unfortunatly doesn't work any longer it seems. That's for the input though , at least I've found euro car parts who stock them and are still considerably cheaper that other sites I have seen sofar. MY2010 TDV8 Vogue Ipanema Sand
