OK got it now, thanks Craig. Embarassed After 4 years with my '02 I'm used to the ecu calcing the service interval and taking time, distance and consumption into account, but being nowhere near a regular annual schedule. Obviously the regime must have changed in the move from BM to Jag. I'm still pleased to have a calculated prompt though! Very Happy Mike - MPx

Hi Guys

Sorry for the late reply, had a little fun on the week end without having access to a computer...

Thank you all for your supports and positives comments. Customer satisfaction is one of our up-most important values here at GAP-Diagnostic. Not only does it help in sales and company reputation but also in the product developments. This includes the addition of features requested by customers. We still have many other requests and features to add in the coming months so stay tuned!

GC-SC, P0140

PaulB is right, it is related to one of the O2 sensors. The following link contains lots of valuable information on the possible causes. If you decide to proceed with further diagnostics, we believe it’s a good place to start.

Thanks Patrick

But......cleared the error about 200 miles ago and it hasn't reappeared so hoping it was a spurious error, perhaps a contaminated sensor that cleared again..... Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

In reference to the EAS motorway, are you able to change the speed the m/way height is activated at? At the moment i think mine changes at 100mph.

Thanks in advance

+1 for being able to change the motorway height activation speed. 160km [100mph] is far to high.

duka, firstly make sure you have the latest firmware [v2.17] , if so you select 'read' and then the ecu to read any faults ...the same with clearing faults , select clear and then the ecu.. ... - .- -.

Is there a setting to keep the windscreen wipers going when returning to tha car? - i.e. if you leave the wiper switch on when you get out of the car, and then come back, drive away, I would expect the wipers to resume, but I have to switch them off and on again. A minor point, but it's annoying after using several cars that have this setting.

BTW - what exactly are cold monitoring and hot monitoring for?

the reason the wipers need to be re-activated is a safety one ..on cold days the wipers might stick to the screen so having them switch on with the ignition might rip the rubbers off or you might scratch the screen if no washer fluid is sprayed on....

cold monitoring is when the ecu's check the light circuits when the ignition is off and hot monitoring is when the car is running.. ... - .- -.

I will need to check, but i think my motorway lowering activates at around 65mph.

The later facelifted FF drop at 100mph which is next to useless, oh and the rear wiper stays on if activated instead of delayed sweep. Shocked

The 2006+ don't lower. It's a lie. Get on an autobahn and switch to the 4x4 mode, it will *not* indicate a lower height even after 30 mins at 140mph! Land Rover Addict
