Hi there, im looking for some info on this. I have read about everything it can access and reset. What i wish to know is-will it display the fault codes? so to help pinpoint issues? or only erase/reset them? and do i need the dash display to be full working to read them? as mine has pixelating issues. My car is an 02 plate 4.4.

From my understanding the IIDTool will give you fault codes & a brief description. So you will need to be able to read your centre dash display. I love mine used on a MY05 TD6

In a nutshell: while a few functions are still in the process of being finished (next FW release), the IIDTool has nearly all functions that any private user or independent repair facility would need to visit a main dealer for. It even has some functions that a main dealer doesn't (such as adjusting the heights of each level - off road, motorway, etc - individually or certain CCF editing options. If you need a new ECU that needs a sw flash, you'll have to go to the main dealer.

Pixels: it depends on how bad the probs are. There are longer messages that scroll through that actually might be easier to intrepret as the letters will pass through working fields of pixels. Won't help if you can't read the value at the end of the message though. I'd suggest having your pixels repaired this way or that, though. Def worth it - your RR will 'feel' much newer.

Can the IID tool be used to switch on/off the service due display (milage/date countdown etc) when the key is first turned? Mine's currently switched off and an indy I used failed to find a way to switch it on for me with whatever diag tool he had. He suggested the instrument cluster may need a reflash, but put a health warning on that so I declined. The car is late 06 so an early MY07 facelift. Cheers Mike - MPx

By performing a SIR (service interval reset) on your vehicle with an IIDTool, this function should be reinstated. I say should because we have seen items in the past, where default settings were altered in such a way that it was necessary to diagnose and reinstate them.

Sorry we can't be more specific, but w/o getting 'hands-on' with your RR it's hard to tell.

Hi Steve - good to see the leaps and bounds progress that you and your team are making with this tool.

I have been looking for one functionality and as yet have not seen it -"lane change flash" - it was on my vehicle (2007) until I left it with the dealer who inadvertantly disabled it!

Can this be fixed with the IID tool?

The IIDTool can activate/deactivate this function on the Sport and Disco 3 / LR3. Since it was a standard feature on the 2006 and up Range Rover (called 3 turn flash), we did not add the option in the IIDTool. We will test it and if it works, we will add it for those vehicles also.

Just as Craig has said, it would be really good if the 3 turn flash could be activated (specifically 06MY).

Thanks again for your rapid response to my (self inflicted) problem with bluetooth connection. It was "operator error" and not a problem with the IID Tool.
