I was going to fit the chip in one of the ebay blank keys I have so I can start the car if something happened the original key rather than paying landrover 300 euro for a new key.

jeep Big Cry , yes you can use the chip but it will need to be coded, make sure you get the circuit board with the new key case, you can buy a used key just for the circuit board as this can be programmed to open and close the doors by yourself, not many dealers will program a key transponder [chip] if they have not supplied it,some will but most wont. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Anyone here know what machine you need to program the new transponder chips? That has always been the biggest issue in getting a decent priced key... The key itself is easy, getting it to open the car is easy. Getting it to start it is near impossible... Crying or Very sad

Cheers - Gav
