Wouldn't normally use a torque for the rocker cover just tighten then give it a jag up only use a torque for the head that's my experience anyway but others may disagree

normally a tighten and then a quarter turn should be ok... ... - .- -.

If you intend doing more DIY maintenance then buy the wrench, I bought one just to torque up my wheel nuts. Most of my life I've done workarounds/bodges due to not having the right tools - I now realise it was a mistake

Cheers for reply folks. I changed the rocker covers and rubber washers last week. I even managed to loose one of the nuts and had to get one from land rover for the princely sum of 3.85... I'm watching both closely now to check the leaks have gone. MY2010 TDV8 Vogue Ipanema Sand
